Allied to the King represents the Iroquois Nation during the French and Indian War (1754-1763) . As French and British armies clashed, gifts and medallions were given to Native Americans to ensure loyalty to the armies of the European kings. Yet, loyalty would remain with the Natives themselves, who hoped the war would destroy both European armies, ridding the country of both sides
